We started trender project 2 year ago with an original marketing idea and a lot of enthusiasm and willing. Of course, we didn’t invent the concept of word of mouth – this was already present in western Europe, USA - but guess what, in Romania the concept was not so popular and the related market was just “a baby” at that time. So we saw in this a great opportunity for a new business. This way, the first Romanian community for word of mouth marketing was created and people were enthusiastic. We organized some interesting campaigns: from books, hand-made products to telephone services.

Beginning of July, and epoint has already relauched a new website: Acredis!

Acredis, for those who didn’t know yet, is a Swiss company (located in Zürich) which gives its users information about plastic surgeries; depending on the surgery type one user wants to get, and also depending on the place s/he lives, Acredis can suggest one doctor or another. Logged in users (which fill in their personal details) have access to the background information of lots of doctors; they can see feedbacks from other patients, and they can also see different case studies.

Golf performance offers nutrition products specially designed for golf players.

even if we have only a few products, the whole site is full blown ecommerce shop for endcustomers and dealers, inlcuding social sharing to facebook and twitter, blog...

first reactions area positive, users seem to like the widescreen design and the optimized ecommerce process.

Epoint did it again! Two weeks ago we finally went online with a new website. The owner of the website is diabla media publishing, a “devilishly good media!” which publishes the SUCCEED, skyline and Ambient Media magazines.
Going online with the website took longer than we thought it will, but we finally made it: nice pictures with Diabla’s team members were available, last pages were implemented and the website was ready to go online.
Still, new updates are to come soon, so keep an eye on http://www.diabla.at/.

We are currently working on the relaunch of the Acredis Website (www.acredis.com). Uli (arrived on Monday from Switzerland) and Raluca have started inserting Content and finalizing the last specs.

a few weeks ago KPMG launched their growthgenerator.ch based on the technology solution epoint developed for amazee.

extending their services by offering white label solutions that are based on the experience gained during the last 3 years, amazee now launched the next platform.

http://aktion294.your-flashforward.de (part of Pro7 Germany) had 250.000 hits during the first day after the launch.

event the solution we developed is based on the drupal 5.2 core, it runs smoothly and stable under such circumstances :-).

it feels good to have such large scale deployments :-)

A few months ago, due to the week performance of the Amazee application for some pages, the need for a speed improvement came up. So, we tried to think about some ways of improving the overall speed of the Amazee site. A very good idea came from Liviu: caching the locale in memory. The locale functionality is one or maybe even the most used in the Amazee application, and in general in all Drupal based sites so a good way of caching the localization strings is vital for a good speed of the application. This was even more vital in this case, because at the moment, in Amazee there are over 3500-4000 strings. Also, at the moment there are 2 languages enabled, but the number could increase.
